Grove City Council has approved the final development plan for Sugar Maple Commons, submitted by Columbus, Ohio-based Treplus Communities to build 105 single-story luxury apartments with attached garages. The project offers a new lifestyle solution for active adults age 55 and over in a location close to premium amenities.

Sugar Maple Commons will open the leasing center in the Fall of 2020.

The site located on 21.08 acres south of Holton Road and west of Jackson Pike (State Route 104), where it is zoned as planned-unit development residential property.  This community will be comprised of single-story one and two bedroom units, and will be age-restricted to comply with the Housing for Older Persons Exemption Act (HOPA) to the federal Fair Housing Act.

Treplus Communities has developed this new lifestyle solution and opened locations in Central Ohio in response to the exponential growth of the number of Americans over age 55. With improved healthcare and advanced medical technologies, active adults desire a place to continue to engage and grow in their later years. "Our communities are situated near key amenities and allow active adults to travel, be near family, and remain in their neighborhoods with a great quality of life without all the responsibilities of home ownership" says Jane Arthur Roslovic, Partner.

“We are thrilled to be part of the strong Grove City community where people want to live and be near the Scioto Grove Metro Park. We have done extensive research and know that Treplus Communities is a downsizer’s dream. Jane Arthur Roslovic, Treplus Communities Partner."

Treplus Communities is redefining 55+ living for active adults in three Central Ohio communities, Delaware, Dublin, and Pickerington, and is expanding to Dogwood Commons in Centerville near Dayton in 2020. Each community offers , single-story apartment homes with designer finishes and attached garages that are free from the maintenance and expenses associated with home or condo ownership. A beautiful community commons area offers a spacious venue for entertaining, fitness, group events, and activities, as well as a business center at each site. Select sites will also offer community gardens and dog parks.
